Italians Sinner and Musetti Set to Compete in ATP Finals Opening Matches Monday
Turin, Italy – The ATP Finals, the year-end championship featuring the world’s top eight men’s tennis players, begins in Turin on Monday with the historic participation of two Italians: Jannik Sinner, recently regaining the world No. 1 ranking, and Lorenzo musetti.Musetti qualified for the tournament following the withdrawal of Novak Djokovic due to injury.
Both players will be in action on Monday, November 11th. Musetti will face American Taylor Fritz, ranked No. 6, at 2:00 PM local time. Later in the evening, Sinner will compete against Canada’s Félix Auger-Aliassime at 8:30 PM.
The tournament follows a group stage format, dividing the eight players into two groups of four. Musetti’s group also includes Alex de Minaur of Australia and Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, with match dates and times against them yet to be determined, causing some concern among ticket holders.Sinner is grouped with Auger-aliassime, Alexander Zverev of Germany, and Ben Shelton of the United States.
Viewers can watch both matches on Sky Sport, NOW, and Tennis TV. Sinner’s evening match will also be broadcast free-to-air on Rai 2. The semi-finals are scheduled for November 15th, with the final taking place on November 16th.
