Overseas Chinese talent Converge in Fuzhou at Third Development Conference

FUZHOU, China – December 1, 2025 – The All-China Federation⁤ of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC), in‍ partnership with the Fujian ‌provincial government, launched the 3rd Overseas chinese Talent Conference for Development today in Fuzhou, ⁢the capital city of Fujian province. The⁤ event, organized by ⁢the Fujian Provincial Federation of Returned ⁤Overseas chinese and the Fuzhou municipal⁢ government, aims ​to harness the expertise of overseas Chinese talent to contribute ⁢to China’s growth.

This⁣ year’s conference operates under the overarching ⁣theme of “Pooling ​the Wisdom of ⁣Overseas Chinese Talent to Fulfil the Chinese Dream,” with a specific ⁣annual focus on “Uniting⁣ Overseas‌ Chinese Talent,Forging a ⁣New ⁣Era ⁣of Innovation.” The three-day event is structured around five ⁤key components: an opening ceremony, awards recognizing notable contributions, initiatives for‍ gathering ​and cultivating talent, ⁢programs designed to attract overseas expertise, and a ‍showcase of achievements from the QIAOZHIHUI (Overseas Chinese ⁤Talent Convergence) Platform. ​

The conference⁢ features a variety of activities,including a visit to the QIAOZHIHUI achievements area,the ⁣formation of ​an expert service team,and signing ceremonies ‌to facilitate collaboration. A key ⁤initiative is the awarding of funds – ranging from 300,000 ⁤to 1 million yuan – to ‌overseas Chinese‌ talent ‍teams engaged in tackling critical technological challenges.

Further programs focus ⁢on fostering‌ innovation and entrepreneurship among younger generations of ⁣overseas Chinese, exploring the intersection of​ artificial intelligence and ‌employment, ‌promoting digital commerce, and facilitating networking opportunities for overseas PhD ‌holders. The⁣ event also encourages regional partnerships,with ‌Anhui province and ⁢the city of Harbin serving as‌ guests of honour,alongside participation from Harbin Institute of Technology and Tongji University to promote industry-talent alignment.

the QIAOZHIHUI platform showcases advancements in technology, talent development, and practical urban applications. The conference has drawn ​participants from a ‍diverse range of backgrounds, including overseas Chinese professionals, leading talents,⁤ science and​ technology organizations, business leaders, and representatives from universities and research institutions. Organizers anticipate the event will serve as a vital platform for leveraging “overseas Chinese​ capital,‌ wisdom, ⁣and strength” to ‍drive continued development in Fujian Province.
