La Plata,Argentina – A 19-year-old man stabbed his father-in-law while he slept last Saturday in La Plata,authorities reported. The attack stemmed from a dispute over household chores, according to police.
lautaro Armando Blanco,residing with his 16-year-old partner adn her father,Guillermo Horacio Ezequiel Esnarriaga,38,on 36th street,allegedly attacked Esnarriaga with a large knife. The incident occurred after Esnarriaga returned home from work and found the couple playing video games rather of preparing dinner.
Blanco entered Esnarriaga’s bedroom and stabbed him multiple times. The victim was transported to San Martín hospital, where he underwent surgery for injuries to his colon and intestine. He remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Police from the Second Commission in la Plata arrested Blanco days after the assault. He is currently being held and is awaiting legal proceedings.
Guillermo Horacio Ezequiel Esnarriaga’s wife,Gabriela Parets,has publicly stated that she believes the attack was an attempted homicide and is requesting Blanco be held in jail.
