Arcadis Secures Roles on Major UK Healthcare Projects
Arcadis, a global design and consultancy firm, has been appointed to provide expertise on three critically important healthcare infrastructure projects across the UK: the airedale New Hospital program, the Royal Cornwall hospitals NHS trust’s New Hospital Programme, and an expansion project at Aintree University Hospital. These projects underscore Arcadis’ commitment to delivering high-value healthcare facilities and improving patient wellbeing.
In West Yorkshire, Arcadis will serve as Trust Cost Advisor for the £1.5 billion Airedale New hospital Programme. The firm will contribute to the development of the project’s Business Case,supporting the delivery of a new hospital to replace the existing facility,which contains Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC). the new hospital aims to provide a modern, safe, and efficient surroundings for improved patient care.
Arcadis will also act as cost managers for the new Women’s and Children’s hospital in Cornwall, part of the government’s New Hospital Programme. this investment will create over 20,000 square meters of modern hospital space, equipped with digitally-enabled facilities, to serve the healthcare needs of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly’s 590,000 residents. Arcadis’ role will focus on ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of the project, maximizing value for money.
Arcadis led the design component of a proposed 100,000 square foot expansion at Aintree University Hospital in Fazakerley, Liverpool. The project is being undertaken in partnership with IHP, WSP, Appletons, AJP, Hoare Lea, GRM, Eddisons, and Iteriad.
