Seamless Execution at De Bonte Wever
De Bonte Wever recently navigated a complex logistical challenge, together hosting a major international pool billiards tournament, constructing a setup for the Treant event, and accommodating a separate event elsewhere on the property. “It was a real puzzle coordinating different teams and their schedules within the same space,” explains Mathijs, a representative of de Bonte Wever. “You had tech crews utilizing aerial platforms alongside construction teams with forklifts – safety and smooth operation where paramount.” The activity extended throughout the entire building, creating a vibrant atmosphere. “The whole venue comes alive,” Mathijs notes. “You see technicians,set builders,and even curious hotel guests all moving around. It can feel busy, but that’s when we thrive.”
The Treant event itself required meticulous final preparations as the organizers arrived. Mathijs describes the flurry of last-minute checks: confirming the opening location, catering readiness, and curtain timing. Simultaneously, the technical team worked to ensure flawless execution of the evening’s performances. “With a lineup of artists, perfect light, sound, and timing were absolutely essential.”
The event’s opening proved to be a standout moment. Guests were greeted with a drink and an LED foam stick, creating a visually striking effect. Following an address by the Treant general manager, the curtains rose to reveal “The Night Flight,” accompanied by a synchronized display of illuminated foam sticks. “It was astonishing to see everyone raise their sticks simultaneously occurring,” Mathijs recalls. “You could genuinely feel the energy ripple through the room.”
De Bonte Wever prides itself on its adaptability. ”We don’t focus on what can’t be done,” mathijs states. “If a client has a vision, we explore how to make it a reality.We’ve even built a swimming pool inside the hall for a baptism – it might sound unusual, but we make it possible.” This commitment to versatility,coupled with a dedication to continuous advancement based on post-event evaluations,defines De Bonte Wever as an event location. The positive feedback from Treant, and their subsequent return booking, confirms their success. “Knowing they were so satisfied and chose to come back is incredibly rewarding. It was a truly fantastic production to be a part of.”
