Andy Chango says he and Andrés Calamaro held party in Spanish hospital
Musician Andy Chango revealed on the October 18, 2026, broadcast of Telefe program PH: Podemos Hablar that he and Andrés Calamaro once organized a clandestine party inside a Spanish hospital while Calamaro was recording his album Honestidad brutal.
The Fall That Led to the Hospital Ward
The sequence of events began when Andy Chango attempted a stunt at a restaurant in Spain. Sitting on a first-floor table with friends including Ariel Rot, the musician tried to climb out of one window and re-enter through another. He missed his target by a centimeter and fell, breaking his calcaneus bone.
Transported to a medical facility, Chango received an unexpected visit late that night. Calamaro, who was in the middle of studio sessions for Honestidad brutal alongside several musician friends, learned of the accident and relocated to the hospital around 2 a.m. with sound equipment and video cameras.
The segment started with a game proposed by host Andy Kusnetzoff, who asked the guests who they believed had once thrown a party inside a hospital. Journalist Mónica Gutiérrez immediately guessed correctly, noting it was obvious, while Chango jokingly asked her not to expose him. Other guests seated at the table included Charlotte Caniggia, Luciana Rubinska, and Gonzalo Heredia.
The group transformed the hospital room into an impromptu celebration space. “We started throwing a huge party,” Chango recalled, noting that part of the floor was scorched during the gathering and furniture was dragged across the room to conceal the burns.

When nurses attempted to intervene, Calamaro filmed them and told them to leave. Asked whether any footage of the night survived, Chango stated that an archive exists but will never see the light of day.
