ZX Auto (Hebei Zhongxing Automobile Co. Ltd.) officially launched their newest tiny electric car called the Weiao BOMA EV. Stylish like the Toyota Alphard luxury MPV, the Weiao BOMA EV is priced starting at IDR 86 million.
The eco-friendly vehicle industry in China is so excited with tiny electric car models. After the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV and Air ev, as well as the DFSK Mini EV, now there is another new tiny electric car model called Weiao BOMA EV.
Quoted from Carnewschina, Weiao BOMA EV is offered in three models and was launched with a price range of 5,700 USD (Rp. 86.7 million) to the most expensive of 7,460 USD, equivalent to Rp. 113.6 million. For your information, Weiao is an electric vehicle brand under Hongri Electric Vehicle.
BOMA EV is the first car under Weiao. This car will be produced by ZX Auto (Hebei Zhongxing Automobile Co. Ltd.), a manufacturer of LSEV (Low Speed Electric Vehicle), passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and auto parts.
Meanwhile Hongri Electric Vehicle was founded in 2014 with a focus on R&D (research and development) as well as the manufacture of electric vehicles. Its product line includes electric bicycles and low-speed four-wheeled electric vehicles, or LSEVs.
Back to the Weiao BOMA EV, this car has a very similar appearance to the Toyota Alphard premium MPV, especially the very large grille. The headlamp and fog lamp styles of this car are also very identical to the Alphard.
The car is available in three body colors: white, blue and gold. As a mini EV, the BOMA EV is 3,517 mm long, 1,495 mm wide and 1,660 mm high, and has a wheelbase of up to 2,495 mm. This car uses 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels and tires measuring 165/55 R15.
This car is powered permanent magnet synchronous motor which produces 30 kW of power and 84 Nm of torque. The car provides two ternary lithium battery options. There is an option of 11.9 kWh which has a cruising range of 130 km and a charging time of 7 hours from 0-100%. Then there is the 18.5 kWh battery option which has a range of 200 km and a charging time of 10 hours from 0-100%. Weiao BOMA EV can reach a maximum speed of 100 km/hour.
