Vingegaard commented on the stage,stating,”Just like the day before,I’m happy with today’s condition. Today was the most harsh mountain stage ever.In the midst of all this, I was able to run to be satisfied with myself. The team’s goal was to win the stage by running away, but they couldn’t compete with Allensman, who showed great running.” He further elaborated on his tactical approach, noting, “I expected Taday to set up the final mountain, and as he increased his pace with the second to last mountain, I thought he was aiming to win the stage. It didn’t seem to be a problem, so I attacked it.”

Florian Lipowitz Earns Young Rider Classification and third Overall Podium Finish

Florian Lipowitz of Red Bull-bora Hansgrohe has secured the Maillot Blanc (Young Rider Award) and third place in the overall standings. The German rider expressed surprise and delight at his podium position.

Lipowitz shared his thoughts on his unexpected success: “I never thought I would compete for the overall podium and be on the podium (woman wearing Maillot Blanc). I was feeling good, but my dreams have already come true. Although it is in good condition, our ace is Primoz Roglic. Future strategies must be discussed in the future. Primoz also performed well yesterday, and believes in his third week of success.It’s also a shame that Evenepoel retired.”

Remco Evenepoel Withdraws from Tour de France Due to Illness

Remco Evenepoel of Soudal Swift-Step has withdrawn from the Tour de France. The Belgian rider cited feeling unwell for several days and a lack of power in his legs during the climbs as the reasons for his departure.
