“All New Toyota Rush Launch Rumors: Hybrid Variant and 4WD System”

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Marketing Director of PT Toyota Astra Motor, Anton Jimmi Suwandy, is yet to confirm the rumors that the All New Toyota Rush will launch in November 2023. “I can’t comment on the new model yet, sir. We are focused on selling the current Rush,” said Anton when contacted by Tempo, Monday, 29 May 2023.

Previously, Tempo got information from a salesperson from a Toyota dealer in Jakarta who said that the latest Rush would launch in November 2023. The salesperson also explained that the latest Rush does not only come in a choice of petrol engines, but also a hybrid variant.

“Yes, there is a hybrid. The information is in November (launching),” said the salesperson to TempoSunday, May 28, 2023.

The salesperson said that this latest Rush model is an All New model, not a facelift model. Currently, the dealers themselves have opened orders for the All New Rush.

“Already open indent, booking fee IDR 10 million. There is no price estimate yet.

Based on a number of leaks circulating, the All New Rush will use the basis of the Toyota RAV4 which has been paved in Japan and the United States. Carrying the name All New, it indicates that the latest generation of Rush will come with a new exterior and interior appearance, including the engine.

From the engine sector, the All New Rush is rumored to come with a hybrid variant. Then it will also be equipped with a four-wheel drive drive system, aka 4WD.

There is still minimal detailed information for this All New Rush. However, its presence in Indonesia will shake up the country’s SUV market, which is currently filled with a number of rivals such as the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross, Suzuki XL7, and the Honda BR-V.
