Alberto Bauli, king of Pandoro for over 25 years, has died

He would have turned 80 on 5 September. He was president of the confectionery group founded in 1922 by his father Ruggero, which is now based in Castel d’Azzano (Verona).

Under his leadership the company acquired the Treviso biscuit factory in 2006 Doria and in 2009 detected by Nestl products from ovens marketed under the Motta and Alemagna brands at the San Martino Buon Albergo site (Verona). In 2013 the group acquired Bistefani of Casale Monferrato (Alessandria). The “king” of Pandoro was for a few years too adviser of the Banco Popolare, holding the position of president of the Banca Popolare di Verona.
