Apple Announces AirPods Pro 3 with Health Features, Improved Sound, adn September 9th Release
CUPERTINO, CA – September 9, 2024 – Apple today unveiled the next generation of its popular wireless earbuds, the AirPods Pro 3, boasting new health monitoring capabilities, enhanced audio quality, and a redesigned charging case. Pre-orders begin today, with availability starting shortly after.
The AirPods Pro 3 introduce integrated heart rate and fever measurement sensors, effectively turning the earbuds into a portable health assistant. apple also highlighted the potential for the device to function as a hearing aid for individuals with mild to moderate hearing loss.
beyond health features, the new AirPods Pro 3 deliver improvements in core functionality. Apple is utilizing high-quality drivers to enhance music listening experiences and has refined the active noise cancellation technology. The earbuds are designed to fully integrate with the Apple Vision Pro, offering lossless audio support.
Key changes include a slightly smaller charging case and the removal of the physical matching button, replaced by a capacitive button hidden on the case. The AirPods pro 3 are powered by the new H3 chip, promising high performance, improved connectivity, and extended range.
Battery life is also expected to see a modest increase over the AirPods Pro 2, wich offered up to 6 hours of listening time on a single charge and 30 hours with the charging case.
The AirPods Pro 3 will be available for $249, the same price as the previous generation AirPods Pro 2. However, Apple cautioned that pricing adjustments are possible.
