AI in Cinema: “Future Screens” Event in Cagliari – Greenwich d’Essai

Cagliari Film Series ‍Explores AI’s Impact on Human Connection

CAGLIARI, Sardinia – the Greenwich d’Essai cinema in⁤ Cagliari is hosting “Future Screens: AI between Utopia​ and Dystopia,” a film series examining the evolving relationship between artificial ⁣intelligence and human experience.Curated by Antonello Zanda,⁢ the series ‍features​ screenings, ‌discussions, and insights into how ⁤advanced​ technology is reshaping social, intimate, ⁣and identity⁢ dynamics.

Upcoming‌ events include a November 11th screening ⁤of spike Jonze’s 2013 ⁣film her, starring Joaquin Phoenix and featuring the voice of Scarlett‍ Johansson, exploring themes of digital loneliness and emotional connection⁣ with AI. Cultural operator ‌Daniela Stara of the Cineteca Sarda Humanitarian Society will present the film.

On November ‍13th, the series will showcase Gabriele Salvatores’ 1997 cyberpunk ​film nirvana, a rare example of Italian science fiction, focusing on the relationship between a creator and⁢ his virtual creation. Stara ⁣will⁤ also introduce this screening.

the “Future Screens” review is sponsored by greenwich Essay Cinema – Settima arte Project, with support from the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, and in collaboration with the Humanitarian Society of Cineteca⁣ Sarda, Scienzasocietàscienza,⁣ and the International Comic Center.
