Ontario, CA – A chaotic night of professional wrestling unfolded at AEW Dynamite in Ontario, California, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, culminating in a new AEW Women’s World Champion and a brutal brawl between Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland. The event, broadcast live on TBS and HBO Max, featured the return of Bryan Danielson to commentary and set the stage for upcoming events including AEW Grand Slam Australia.

The evening’s main event saw Thekla dethrone Kris Statlander in a Strap Match to claim the AEW Women’s World Championship. The match, punctuated by intense physicality, concluded with interference from The Sisters of Sin, Julia Hart and Skye Blue, who aided Thekla in securing the victory. Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor attempted to intervene, restoring order after the match.

Earlier in the night, tensions boiled over between Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland. The two stars engaged in a heated verbal exchange, with Strickland accusing Omega of capitalizing on past success and disappearing during his own championship reign. Omega countered, asserting his continued dedication to AEW and challenging Strickland to a match. The exchange quickly escalated into a physical altercation, spilling into the crowd and culminating in Omega delivering a V-Trigger into the tron screen and Strickland responding with a spear off the stage and through broadcast equipment. AEW officials announced that Omega and Strickland will face off next week on Dynamite.

In championship action, Kyle Fletcher defeated Tommaso Ciampa to recapture the TNT Championship. Fletcher, who had previously held the title, celebrated his victory with Don Callis, though he requested to compete independently. Following the match, Fletcher was challenged to a Ladder Match for the title in his hometown by Mark Briscoe, a challenge he accepted.

The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Josh Alexander, and Mark Davis) faced The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and PAC) in a trios match. The Death Riders emerged victorious after a hard-fought battle, with Moxley securing the win with a Death Rider DDT.

Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong competed against Daniel Garcia and Clark Connors in a tag team match. The match ended unexpectedly with Cassidy securing a win after Strong abandoned the match, leaving Cassidy to face the opponents alone. The victory was followed by an appearance from Darby Allin, who intervened in a confrontation between Connors, and Cassidy.

The Young Bucks secured their place as the number one contenders for the AEW Tag Team Championships, defeating The Rascalz and Private Party in a three-way match. Following their victory, they were confronted by FTR, leading to a physical altercation and a promise of a future showdown.

The night similarly featured backstage segments with Don Callis and Andrade El Idolo, discussing El Idolo’s upcoming match against Hangman Page at AEW Grand Slam Australia, and a video package highlighting Will Ospreay’s recovery from surgery. A video package also showcased the current landscape of the AEW World Championship, featuring MJF and potential contenders including Brody King.
