Tommaso Ciampa will defend his AEW TNT Championship against Kyle Fletcher tonight on AEW Dynamite, marking a swift continuation of a championship run that began with a rapid ascent following his debut in All Elite Wrestling.

The match is scheduled to take place at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, as part of a Dynamite broadcast airing live on TBS and HBO Max. Ciampa captured the TNT Championship just days after his arrival in AEW, defeating Mark Briscoe on Collision, according to reports from February 10th.

AEW CEO Tony Khan has publicly expressed satisfaction with Ciampa’s integration into the company, citing his established history with Ring of Honor – a promotion owned by Khan – and his overall wrestling pedigree. “I think that AEW is where the best wrestle, and Tommaso Ciampa is a fantastic wrestler,” Khan told “YoJoshMartinez.” He further emphasized Ciampa’s ability to elevate the AEW roster, describing him as fitting the criteria for modern hires “to a tee.”

Fletcher challenged Ciampa following a confrontation on Collision, signaling his intent to pursue the title. AEW officially announced the match for Dynamite, setting the stage for a showdown with potential implications for the company’s upcoming AEW Grandslam Australia event.

Ciampa’s transition to AEW followed the expiration of his contract with WWE, an event he publicly announced via an Instagram post, stating his desire to gauge fan reaction and “stir the wrestling industry” with his departure. His final WWE match occurred on December 15th, 2025, alongside Johnny Gargano.

Tonight’s Dynamite similarly features a 3-Way Tag Team No. 1 Contenders Match between The Rascalz, The Young Bucks, and a Wild Card team, as well as an AEW Women’s World Championship Strap Match pitting Kris Statlander against Thekla. A face-to-face interview between Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland is also scheduled.
