Adana Police Uncover Hidden Passage During Prostitution Operation
Adana, Turkey - A police raid on a massage parlor in Adana’s Seyhan district revealed a clandestine attempt to evade authorities, as the owner and four women allegedly attempted to hide via a secret passage leading to the roof. The operation, conducted by the Adana provincial Police Department’s Public Security Branch Moral Bureau, targeted a business suspected of facilitating prostitution.
According to reports, police initiated the raid after receiving intelligence indicating illicit activities were taking place at the Reşatbey neighborhood establishment. Upon arrival, the owner, identified as B.F. (23), and the four women present reportedly monitored the police approach via security cameras.In a bid to avoid arrest, they retreated through a concealed passage leading to the building’s roof.
Officers utilized a mobile ladder to access the roof floor, successfully locating and detaining those attempting to conceal themselves. While the owner was taken into custody, the women were rescued from the premises. A subsequent search of the location yielded funds believed to be proceeds from prostitution.
A especially concerning finding during the rescue operation was the identification of one of the women as a 17-year-old minor. This revelation adds a layer of severity to the case,potentially leading to additional charges related to human trafficking and exploitation.
B.F. initially denied the allegations, stating, ”We only provide massage service,” according to police reports. Though,following the operation,B.F. was brought before the court and subsequently arrested on charges of ‘prostitution mediation or coercion’ and ‘prostitution for prostitution.’
This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of Turkish authorities to combat human trafficking and illegal sexual exploitation. Investigations are continuing to determine the full extent of the operation and identify any potential accomplices.
