Milan Defeats Napoli 2-1 in Thrilling Serie A Clash
Milan, Italy – AC Milan secured a 2-1 victory over Napoli in a captivating Serie A match at San Siro. Christian Pulisic was instrumental in both of Milan’s goals, assisting Saelemaekers for the opener in just the second minute adn 23 seconds, and scoring the decisive second goal.
Napoli initially struggled to find its rhythm,granting Milan excessive space. Though, they regained composure, with Miguel Gutiérrez and Scott McTominay testing Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan. Luka Modric also created a Milan opportunity from a corner.
Napoli dominated possession, pushing the game into Milan’s half, but were vulnerable to counterattacks from Fofana. Santi Giménez also presented a threat to the Milan defense.
Pulisic’s second goal came from a Pavlovic climb and Fofana connection, marking his fifth goal in five consecutive victories for Milan.
the match took a dramatic turn in the second half when Pervis Estupiñán initially received a penalty and yellow card,later overturned to a red card after VAR review. Kevin De Bruyne successfully converted the resulting penalty,narrowing the gap to 2-1 with over 35 minutes remaining. Despite the late push,Napoli was unable to equalize.
