Askold became the second ship of Project 22800 built at the Kerch shipyard. The first, Cyclone, was launched at the end of summer 2020 and is being tested in Novorossiysk, while the third, Amur, is under construction at the factory slipway. The hull works have been completed on it, the equipment is being installed.
