‘A real problem’ warned Kehrer, dragged and criticized after the draw

West Ham’s Thilo Kehrer was booked, dragged and heavily criticized following Germany’s World Cup tie with Spain.

Kehrer started an all-time shoe for Germany at the World Cup.

Germany manager Flick has used Kehrer more than any other player since replacing Joachim Löw.

Kehrer started Germany’s last international match before Qatar, against Oman, at centre-back. The previous match, a 3-3 draw with England, he started at right back.

But Flick defeated the West Ham defender in Germany’s first World Cup match against Japan, where they lost.

In many ways this is not a big surprise. After initially impressing when he signed for the Hammers, Gehrer was increasingly erratic and inconsistent as West Ham entered the World Cup break two places above the relegation zone.

Kehrer was described as “sad” by Matchday 365, who made five mistakes resulting in direct goals from opponents since joining West Ham, the most in the Premier League.

Arsenal manager and German World Cup winner Per Mertesacker has called for the retirement of West Ham’s £10m summer signing Kehrer. Right before Sunday’s big clash with Spain.

Flick duly took the lead, restoring Kehrer to the starting eleven in a high-pressure game where defeat would have sent the Germans home with a game to spare.

But much like his performances with West Ham this season, things haven’t gone well for the ex-PSG man.

West Ham man Kehrer has been reserved, courted and much criticized following Germany’s World Cup draw with Spain.

Spain targeted Gehrer as a weak point and continued to investigate the team.

Gehrer was fouled on the first goal of the game after being booked for a mindless scissor move from behind when his Spanish opponent had nowhere to go in midfield.

He failed to approach Dani Olmo from the outside and let a low cross into the box which Álvaro Morata finished well.

Central defender Niklas Sule is also guilty. But any West Ham fan who thinks Kehrer is the perfect answer for the Hammers will surely reconsider this test.

The Hammers knocked the defender out of position as Spain came close to winning 2-0. But he was offside when he joined the reserve team.

Germany managed a 1-1 draw which kept them alive in the final against Costa Rica.

Kehrer was criticized for his performance after the match and received a 3/10 rating from a leading German football website. Get news about German football.

«Thilo Gehrer, 3 – A really problematic area for Germany.” the GFN said.

“Hanci was Mr. Reliable for Flick, playing in 15 of his 18 games for Germany, but he struggled against Olmo and was shown a yellow card. Jordi Alba couldn’t close fast enough for Spain to score and Spain got another chance minutes later. Lucas Klostermann is replaced by Lucas Klosterman, who will probably start against Costa Rica on Thursday.

But the German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer actually praised his defense after the match for limiting Spain’s chances..

In all fairness to Gehrer, he displayed a great attitude by cheering on his teammates off the bench after being substituted.

This is consistent with Moyes’ claims that he has quickly established himself as a leader and positive influence in the West Ham dressing room..

It will be interesting to see if the West Ham star is in the squad to take on Costa Rica in Thursday’s final all-or-nothing group match.
