tripleS OT24 Hong Kong Concert Canceled: Agency Statement

The Hong Kong concert of K-pop group tripleS’s OT24, originally slated for March 14, has been canceled, according to an announcement made by the group’s agency, MODHAUS, on Tuesday.

MODHAUS attributed the cancellation to the failure of the concert organizer to meet contractual obligations. “Although we carefully explored various options in an effort to present a performance of the highest quality, we have determined that It’s currently not possible to proceed as planned,” the agency stated.

The cancellation comes amidst recent controversy surrounding tripleS member Xinyu, who stated in a livestream that Taiwan and Hong Kong are part of China, and told fans who disagreed to “leave.” The statement, reported by the Korea JoongAng Daily, drew immediate criticism and sparked debate among fans internationally.

tripleS has been actively expanding its activities, recently launching a novel ballad subunit called Aria, as reported by the Korea JoongAng Daily. The group is also preparing to debut a 24-member boy band, with a mysterious promotional video released earlier this month, according to another report from the Korea JoongAng Daily.

The OT24 concert cancellation affects plans for the group’s larger performance schedule. No information has been released regarding potential rescheduling or refunds.
