Big Brother Argentina: Unexpected Exits & Replacement Search Ahead of Premiere

The production of Gran Hermano Generación Dorada is scrambling to adjust after two contestants, Divina Gloria and Daniela De Lucía, exited the reality show within days of its premiere. Santiago del Moro, the show’s host, announced both departures this week, citing medical reasons for Gloria and the death of De Lucía’s father as the cause for the latter’s exit.

Divina Gloria was initially taken to a clinic near the Gran Hermano house for medical checkups, Del Moro revealed on social media. “Divina Gloria will be taken to a clinic near the house to undergo some check-ups at the request of the doctors attending the players,” he stated, adding that standard isolation protocols would be followed. Later, Del Moro confirmed that Gloria would not be returning to the competition, citing a medical recommendation. The announcement came on February 27th, according to reports.

The circumstances surrounding De Lucía’s departure are markedly different. She left the house following the death of her father, after being informed by the show’s psychologists and production team. The production released a statement expressing condolences and detailing the support provided to De Lucía. She had been preparing to enter the house from her home in Tandil when she received the news, according to reports.

The dual exits have prompted the production team to accelerate plans to introduce two new contestants to the house this Sunday, February 29th, in an effort to maintain the show’s dynamic. Del Moro indicated the additions were a direct response to the departures of Gloria and De Lucía.

The health of Divina Gloria had been a concern shortly after the season began. She experienced a bout of hypertension, leading to the initial medical evaluation. The production has emphasized prioritizing the health of all participants.
