Hamilton Jazzmaster Open Heart 2026: New Dials & Vibrant Colors

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

Hamilton Watch has expanded its Jazzmaster Open Heart series with twelve recent dial colors across three case sizes – 36mm, 40mm, and 42mm – offering a wider range of options for consumers, the company announced this week.

The Jazzmaster Open Heart distinguishes itself from fully skeletonized watches by revealing select components of its automatic movement through an aperture on the dial, rather than exposing the entire mechanism. Hamilton describes this design choice as an invitation to appreciate the mechanics of a mechanical watch, highlighting the balance wheel in motion. The series aims to blend classical watchmaking with contemporary design, offering mechanical functionality without excessive ornamentation.

All models feature stainless-steel cases with a combination of brushed and polished surfaces. Case thickness ranges from approximately 10mm to just over 11mm, depending on the size. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial, and the watches are water-resistant to 50 meters. The new dial colors include silver, gold-toned, deep blue, turquoise, and brown, presented in smoky gradient finishes.

Powering the Jazzmaster Open Heart collection is the Hamilton H-10 automatic movement, based on the ETA C07.111 and ultimately derived from the ETA 2824. This movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides an 80-hour power reserve. A Nivachron balance spring is incorporated to enhance resistance to magnetism, temperature fluctuations, and shocks. An exhibition caseback allows a view of the movement’s finishing, described as industrial and honest.

Watches are available with either a five-row stainless-steel bracelet with a folding clasp or leather straps, including patinated calfskin and white leather options. According to Hamilton, some references are currently available, with additional models slated for release in May 2026. Pricing begins at CHF 920 for the 36mm model, while the 40mm and 42mm versions start at CHF 995 and reach up to CHF 1,075, depending on the strap or bracelet choice. A green dial, 42mm steel model (H32705160) is currently listed for $1,035.
