Hetzner Price Hike: What Users Need to Know (2026)

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor

Hetzner Online, one of Europe’s largest data center operators, will increase prices on its products effective April 1, 2026, the company announced February 23, 2026. The price adjustments will affect both new orders and existing customer accounts.

According to a company statement, the increases are a response to “drastic price increases in various areas in the IT sector” and rising costs for infrastructure operation and new hardware procurement. Hetzner has “genuinely tried hard to optimize our costs and to prevent increasing our prices for as long as possible,” but can no longer absorb the financial strain, the statement reads.

The company, founded in 1997, operates data centers in Germany, Finland, and the United States, including locations in Nuremberg, Falkenstein, Helsinki, Ashburn, Virginia, and Hillsboro, Oregon. Hetzner serves both private and business customers.

Specific price changes for cloud products are detailed in Hetzner documentation, with adjustments varying by product and location. For example, the hourly rate for a CAX11 Cloud Server in Germany will increase from €0.0053 to €0.0072, while the monthly rate will rise from €3.29 to €4.49. A CCX63 Cloud Server will see its hourly rate increase from €0.4615 to €0.6001 and its monthly rate from €287.99 to €374.49. Prices are listed excluding VAT.

Hetzner stated that orders placed before April 1, 2026, but delivered after that date, will be subject to the adjusted prices. The full list of price changes is available on Hetzner Docs at https://docs.hetzner.com/general/infrastructure-and-availability/price-adjustment.

Christian Fitz, PR Manager at Hetzner, stated the company aims to “continue to deliver quality products that meet both our standards and your expectations” despite the price adjustments.
