Rosé of the K-pop group Blackpink and Bruno Mars’s collaboration, “APT,” has been named the best-selling single worldwide for 2025, according to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).
The IFPI released its list of the world’s best-selling singles on February 20, KST, with “APT” taking the top spot. This marks the first time a K-pop artist has achieved the number one position on the IFPI’s annual global single chart. The song, released in October 2024, quickly gained international recognition and topped charts globally, earning Rosé her first Grammy nomination.
Following “APT” on the chart were HUNTR/X with “Golden” at number two, and collaborations featuring Alex Warren, Lady Gaga (likewise with Bruno Mars), Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Teddy Swims, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and Gracie Abrams.
The success of “APT” was highlighted by a live performance featuring Rosé and Mars during Blackpink’s second concert in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium in July 2025. The pair wore coordinating jackets during the performance, which included a duet and a lively dance segment with Blackpink’s backup dancers.
Blackpink is currently on their “Deadline” tour, which began in Seoul and includes performances in cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, and New York. The group is scheduled to release their third mini-album, ‘DEADLINE,’ on February 27.
Rosé and Bruno Mars opened the 2026 Grammy Awards with a rock-fueled performance of “APT.”
