Nancy Guthrie Missing: Search in Mexico & Latest Updates

The Mothers of Sonora, a volunteer search organization in Mexico, have joined the effort to locate Nancy Guthrie, who went missing January 31st from Tucson, Arizona. Despite the involvement of the experienced group – known for locating missing persons within Mexico – Mexican authorities have stated they have no evidence indicating Guthrie has entered Mexican territory.

The search for Guthrie has garnered international attention, with reports surfacing in both U.S. And Mexican news outlets. Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, appeared on the “TODAY” show just three months prior to her disappearance, a resurfaced video that has fueled speculation and concern, according to reports.

While the Mothers of Sonora are actively participating in the search, authorities in Sonora maintain they have not received any information suggesting Guthrie is within Mexico. The organization, comprised of mothers who have themselves experienced the pain of having a family member disappear, continues to offer their expertise and resources, hoping to aid in the search despite the lack of concrete leads pointing south of the border.

The search has expanded beyond Tucson, with efforts now including collaboration with Mexican search groups. KVOA News reported that the search has gone international, though details regarding the scope of that international effort remain limited.
