Uninsured E-Scooter Stopped in Saal an der Donau

A 26-year-old man was prevented from continuing his journey on Wednesday after police discovered his electric scooter lacked valid insurance, according to a statement from the Kelheim Police Department.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:50 a.m. On Hauptstraße in Saal a.d. Donau during a routine traffic stop. Officers from the Polizeiinspektion Kelheim determined the scooter was being operated without the legally required insurance coverage, leading them to prohibit further travel.

The Kelheim Police Department is responsible for a roughly 673 square kilometer area in the northern part of the Kelheim district, encompassing 13 cities and municipalities, and serving approximately 85,000 residents, according to official police documentation.
