New York City Ballet is offering $30 rush tickets to patrons between the ages of 13 and 30, but availability is limited and subject to change, according to a notice posted on the company’s website.
The “30 for 30” program allows eligible individuals to purchase no-fee tickets, but demand has outstripped supply for some performances. As of Wednesday, February 18, 2026, rush tickets for this week’s performances of The Sleeping Beauty have sold out. Full-priced tickets remain available.
To participate, patrons must register online and use the code “30F30” when purchasing tickets. Verification of age is required, and can take up to five business days to process. Those not yet verified can attempt to purchase tickets in person at the Box Office with a valid photo ID, starting on the Tuesday of the performance week.
The program restricts purchasers to a maximum of two $30 tickets per eligible performance. Tickets are not available for all performances, and are specifically excluded for productions of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker. Ticket availability is posted each Tuesday at noon for the following week’s eligible performances.
Seat locations for $30 tickets vary and can be located in any section of the theater, from the Orchestra to the Fourth Ring. Theater management determines seat assignments daily at its discretion. Quantities are not guaranteed and can be revoked at any time.
Similar discounted ticket programs exist at other ballet companies. American Ballet Theatre offers $30 tickets to patrons age 30 and under, according to information on its website. BalletX in Philadelphia offers $30 tickets to Young Patrons Circle members for select performances.
