The Boston Bruins acknowledged a statement regarding their presence on X, formerly known as Twitter, on February 16, 2026, according to a post on the platform. The acknowledgment comes as several Bruins players are currently competing in the Olympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina.
Eight Bruins players are participating in the international competition, with recent performances highlighted by Jeremy Swayman’s 6-3 victory with Team USA over Team Denmark on Saturday. Swayman, who had a 22-12-3 record, 2.92 goals-against average, and .903 save percentage with Boston this season, conceded two goals on his first four shots but recovered to secure the win in his Olympic debut.
David Pastrnak is similarly representing his country, playing for Team Czechia. He recently posted two points in an Olympic win, and had been described as “chilling” ahead of the pressure-filled games. Joonas Korpisalo is competing for Team Finland, and was recently named to the team for the Olympics. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent his country.
The Bruins’ Olympic involvement coincides with activity at the AHL level, where a trio of Bruins prospects participated in the AHL All-Star Festivities. Matt Poitras was recently assigned to the Providence Bruins. Meanwhile, locally, Jordan Harris was recalled from a loan to conditioning.
Back in Boston, the Bruins recently saw success at the Beanpot, with Boston College securing the title. Several Bruins prospects were involved in the tournament, described as a “really special” experience. The team’s recent NHL play included a shootout loss to the Florida Panthers on February 5th, where Eyssimont scored twice. Fraser Minten was named NHL Rookie of the Month for January, and David Pastrnak was named NHL Second Star for the same month.
