Alexander Brothers: Real Estate ‘Closers’ on Trial for Sex Trafficking

by Emma Walker – News Editor

A former real estate agent testified in a New York court this week that she witnessed a brutal sexual assault allegedly committed by one of the Alexander brothers, as the high-profile sex trafficking trial of the three men entered its third week. The brothers – Alon, Oren, and Tal Alexander – once “closers” to wealthy clients including Kim Kardashian and Ivanka Trump, are accused of conspiring to rape at least ten women each.

Abusshan Bodjnoud told jurors she was present at a Hamptons home in May 2009 when she saw Tal Alexander, 39, “dragging” a woman who “was not walking on her own” toward a pool. She testified that she then heard the woman screaming and pleading for the assault to stop, followed by sounds of “moaning” from Tal and one of his twin brothers as they allegedly raped her in a hot tub. Bodjnoud admitted she did not call 911, stating she was “terrified” and aware of the brothers’ perceived power.

The testimony follows that of Maylen Gehret, who alleges Alon Alexander raped her in Aspen, Colorado, in 2017 when she was 17 years ancient. Gehret testified that after consuming drinks provided by Alon, she felt increasingly incapacitated and was then sexually assaulted in a hotel bathroom. She described feeling “really scared” and experiencing significant pain during the attack.

Prosecutors have presented text message exchanges they claim demonstrate the brothers coordinated to obtain drugs – including ketamine, Xanax, Ambien, and GHB – allegedly used to incapacitate women. In one 2011 exchange, Alon Alexander reportedly texted about an upcoming party, suggesting someone “throw some panty dropper pills in the dishes sent to our table.” Defense attorneys have characterized these messages as “crude jokes.”

The trial began in January 2026 with prosecutors arguing the brothers used their wealth and status to lure women with promises of luxury experiences, then sexually assaulted them. The Alexanders, known for their success in Manhattan and Miami real estate, had cultivated a lavish lifestyle documented in publications like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Vogue. Their clientele included high-profile figures from finance and entertainment.

The defense has countered that the allegations are part of a conspiracy to extort the brothers, pointing to a claim from their father, Shlomi Alexander, that the cases originated with a $35 million extortion attempt. Defense attorneys have challenged the timelines and consistency of witness testimonies, attempting to cast doubt on their credibility. Crisis PR consultant Juda Engelmayer, representing the defendants, noted that detailed challenges to witnesses often receive less media attention than sensational claims.

The case was preceded by a civil lawsuit filed in March 2024 by Kate Whiteman, who alleged she was assaulted by Oren and Alon Alexander after meeting them at a Manhattan nightclub in 2012. Whiteman was found dead near Sydney, Australia, late last year, but authorities in New South Wales have stated her death was “non-suspicious.”

The trial is ongoing, with the defense expected to present its case and challenge the prosecution’s evidence. The brothers have pleaded not guilty to all charges and face potential life sentences if convicted.
