Goalhanger has secured worldwide rights to feature Premier League action from every season since 1992 through May 2025.
To mark this agreement,the production company has launched a new weekly series for The Rest Is Football podcast,titled Premier League Greats: The Moments That Made Them. Episodes, released every Wednesday until the end of the season, focus on one player, revisiting five defining matches from their career.
Gary lineker, alan Shearer, and Micah Richards host, breaking down each match and sharing personal stories. Viewers on Spotify Video, YouTube, and social channels can now see official match footage alongside the discussion.
The first episode,released on January 7th,2026,features former Arsenal forward Thierry Henry. Upcoming episodes will highlight the careers of David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Eden Hazard, Harry Kane, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Rest Is Football, which attracts over 7 million downloads monthly, will also launch as a daily TV show on Netflix during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This follows recent additions of FIFA Club World Cup and LaLiga coverage.
The Nottingham Panthers have announced a headline sponsorship deal with Midland Filtration for the 2026 IIHF Continental Cup Final.
Midland Filtration, a long-time supporter, is in its 24th season sponsoring the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL) club. The company has been a UK distributor of air filters and fan belts for 40 years, also offering duct cleaning, filter changes, and fire damper testing from locations in Nottingham and East Kilbride.

The Rugby Players Association (RPA) has announced the creation of its first-ever Women’s Rugby Board to represent the interests of female professionals in England.
This new board will give female players a direct voice in the sport’s development. It comprises elected representatives from all nine Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR) clubs, ensuring depiction across the elite domestic game.
The move comes as women’s rugby becomes increasingly professional. The RPA states the board will focus on player welfare, contract negotiations, and commercial rights. By formalizing this structure, the RPA supports the women’s game alongside the men’s.
The initiative aims to improve communication between players, the league, and governing bodies. It ensures athletes’ perspectives are central to decision-making as the league grows. This is a significant step toward unionization and representation for female athletes.

Padel club operator Soul Padel has announced two senior appointments as the business looks to accelerate its expansion across the UK.
Guy Brothwood joins as Property Director, bringing experience in property acquisition and development. He will focus on securing and developing new sites. Craig Milne has been named Regional Manager for Scotland and the North East and will oversee clubs in that region, starting with a new club launch.
These appointments follow a period of growth for Soul Padel. The company has also closed a funding round to support its goal of delivering between five and ten new clubs.
