WWE SmackDown Expands Lineup with Five New Matches and Appearances
Stamford, CT – WWE has considerably bolstered the SmackDown lineup for tonight’s broadcast, adding five new segments to a show already highlighted by the Last Time is Now tournament final between Gunther and LA Knight. The expanded card includes appearances by WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa, alongside two women’s division contests and another United States Championship open challenge.
The additions come as WWE builds momentum following Survivor Series: WarGames 2025. Rhodes will appear to address the aftermath of his team’s loss in the men’s WarGames match, with a rivalry with Drew McIntyre poised to intensify. McIntyre has publicly defied a storyline suspension issued by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, stating, “I’ll be at SmackDown tonight. Screw you Nick. Screw you Cody. Drew McIntyre is for the people.”
Solo Sikoa is scheduled to address the attack by Uncle Howdy from last week’s show, escalating tensions between Sikoa’s Family Tree and the Wyatt Sicks.
In women’s division action, WWE women’s Champion Jade Cargill will compete in a non-title match against Alba Fyre of the Secret Service, while Alexa Bliss will face Kairi Sane as bliss and Charlotte Flair attempt to regain momentum after losing the Women’s Tag Team titles to Sane and Asuka.
United States Champion Ilja Dragunov will continue his open challenge series, following a successful defence against JD McDonagh.
