Streaming Services Unveil Year-End Recaps, Letting Users Relive 2025’s Digital Footprints
As 2025 draws to a close, major streaming platforms are rolling out their annual year-end recaps, offering users a personalized look back at their listening, viewing, and learning habits. From music and video to language learning, these features provide a snapshot of the past year’s digital activity.
These recaps – including Spotify Wrapped, YouTube Recap, Apple Replay, Amazon Delivered, Twitch Recap, and Duolingo’s Year in Review - have become a popular tradition, sparking social media sharing and offering a moment of reflection on individual preferences. Here’s how to access each platform’s offering:
YouTube Recap: Launched Dec. 2, starting in North America, YouTube Recap provides an overview of a user’s watch history, including top artists and songs listened to on the platform. The feature is rolling out worldwide throughout the first week of December and can be found on the YouTube homepage or under the “You” profile tab on the mobile app or desktop. Users must be signed in and have the latest update.
Apple Replay: Apple Music’s annual “Replay” went live on Dec. 2,showcasing users’ top songs,artists,and genres streamed throughout the year. To find Replay, navigate to the Home tab in the Apple Music app, scroll to “Your Top Music,” and click “Go back in time.” Alternatively, users can visit replay.music.apple.com on the web and click ”jump In.”
Amazon Delivered: Amazon Music’s ”Delivered” launched Dec.2, available to Amazon Music customers with at least a few hours of listening history in a dozen countries. Users can access Delivered by tapping the “Find” button in the Amazon Music app and navigating to “Listen Your Way.”
Twitch Recap: Twitch’s annual recap is available for viewers and streamers who have watched or streamed at least 10 hours of content between Oct. 31, 2024, and the end of October 2025. The recap went live in early December and can be found at twitch.tv/annual-recap; an account login is required.
Duolingo Year in Review: Language-learning app Duolingo released its annual “year in review” in early December, detailing users’ learning progress with stats on lessons completed, streaks, and minutes spent on the app. Users may be prompted to view their recap upon opening the app, or can access it via a logo on the home navigation page.
