A woman’s body has been discovered in a forest near Monreal, Germany, potentially linked to the case of severed hands found on the A45 highway near Olpe two weeks ago. The revelation, made Friday around 3:15 p.m. by Rhineland-Palatinate police, is currently under investigation to determine if the remains belong to a 32-year-old Eritrean woman whose fingerprints were previously identified on the detached hands.
The case began with the discovery of the woman’s severed hands on the A45, leading investigators to identify her as a resident of asylum accommodation in Bonn with a three-month-old child. the infant was located unharmed in Waldsolms, Hesse, left in a stroller near a monastery. While authorities initially didn’t know if the woman was still alive, the recent discovery of a body-missing both hands adn a head-offers a potential resolution, pending DNA confirmation. The Koblenz police have not released further details, and the investigation remains ongoing to establish a definitive link between the body and the earlier findings.
