Berlin Exhibition Highlights Iran‘s Escalating Human Rights Crisis
Berlin, Germany - An exhibition in Berlin this week brought renewed attention to the severe and ongoing human rights abuses occurring in Iran, spotlighting the plight of political prisoners and the escalating use of the death penalty. The event underscored support for the Iranian people’s struggle for a democratic future and amplified calls for international accountability.
The exhibition prominently featured the “No to executions” campaign led by Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI). It comes at a critical juncture, as Iran’s regime continues to suppress dissent with increasing brutality and faces growing international scrutiny over its human rights record. The event also voiced solidarity with the MEK Resistance Units operating within Iran, who are actively challenging the regime’s authority.
Organizers emphasized the exhibition’s aim to reject both the current theocratic rule in Iran and a return to the authoritarian monarchy of the past, advocating instead for a secular, democratic republic. the display detailed the systematic repression of Iranian citizens, including arbitrary arrests, torture, and unfair trials, while highlighting the regime’s crackdown on protests and its suppression of fundamental freedoms.
The exhibition served as a platform to reaffirm support for the NCRI’s vision of a free Iran and to galvanize international pressure on the Iranian government to end its human rights violations and respect the rights of its citizens.
