Record Turnout for Cross du Figaro in Saint-Cloud

Saint-Cloud, France – The 63rd edition⁣ of the Cross du Figaro concluded today in Parc Saint-Cloud with a record-breaking number of participants, totaling ‍over ⁣8,500 runners across five races. This marks a important increase from last ⁣year’s ⁣7,000 and a ample jump of 4,500 from the 2023 event.

The annual race, founded in 1961 by Le Figaro, which will celebrate its bicentennial in 2026, saw⁤ nearly 2,000 runners kick off the weekend with the BYD Night Run on‌ Friday, completing either a ‍5km or 10km course illuminated by⁤ headlamps. Beyond the athletic achievement, the event serves as the official launch of the Téléthon week, now ‍in its 39th year, and raises crucial ⁢funds for research into rare genetic diseases.

This year’s Cross⁤ du‌ Figaro featured customary distances of 5km, 10km, 15km, and 20km, winding through the scenic pathways of the Hauts-de-Seine park. Proceeds from registrations and t-shirt sales ‌will be donated to the AFM Téléthon association, supporting efforts to combat conditions previously considered incurable.

Runners can find complete results and ‌their ‌individual finishing times published in Le Figaro (Île-de-France ⁣edition)‌ on Tuesday,⁢ December 2. The event’s success was made possible⁣ through ⁢sponsorships from brands including Terraillon, Liebig, Mir, daisuki, Haribo, Segafredo, and Lutecia, alongside institutional support⁣ from the Hauts-de-Seine department, the city of Saint-Cloud, and Grate Place to Work.
