JoJo siwa Hospitalized with Burst Ovarian Cyst, Performs Hours Later

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – JoJo Siwa was briefly hospitalized in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after experiencing severe abdominal pain and difficulty breathing, she revealed in a TikTok video posted Saturday. An ultrasound determined she had suffered ‍a burst ovarian cyst that was bleeding internally. Despite the medical emergency,Siwa performed her scheduled show at the Mall ‍of America later that same day.

Siwa ⁢described ⁢experiencing “brutal pain” that initially led her to believe she was struggling to breathe. “I was in so much pain, I was literally⁤ trying to breathe,” she explained‍ in the video. After receiving pain medication, she “started to feel ⁢great” and was even ​”dancing in the​ hospital bed,” joking that she felt “much, much better.”

Doctors informed Siwa the cyst “should stop on its own,” and she plans to follow up with a physician in one week.”Knowing what it ⁢was brought a lot of peace of mind,” she shared.

Currently dating ⁤”Celebrity Big Brother UK” co-star‍ Chris Hughes, Siwa acknowledged ‍she is “not 100 percent” but “doing alright” following the incident. She publicly praised the swift action of the hospital’s medical staff. She⁢ jokingly speculated the staff’s urgency may have been fueled by having daughters who were fans ‍hoping to attend her ‌show.

In a post accompanying the TikTok video, Siwa expressed gratitude, writing, “Thank you for ‍all the well ‌wishes🤍 grateful for the Doctors and Nurses for ‍working so fast ⁣and helping me get back on time, keep it pushing🤍.” Fans responded with​ messages of support,with many urging‍ her to prioritize rest⁣ and‌ recovery. “I know you don’t want to let people down but your health should come first,” one commenter wrote.
