Travis Turner, the head football coach and physical education teacher at Union High School in Wise County, Virginia, is now a fugitive wanted on charges related to child sexual abuse material, authorities say.Turner reportedly walked into the woods with a firearm as virginia State Police were actively searching for him, according to a statement released by his attorney.

Virginia State police initiated a complete search utilizing search and rescue teams,drones,and canine units after Turner went missing. The investigation led to charges related to possession of child sexual abuse material.
“As his disappearance, VSP has utilized a number of assets…to assist in the search,” police stated. “VSP’s main priority is locating Turner safely; he is now considered a fugitive.”
