Trump Vows Immigration Crackdown,Targeting “Problematic Populations”
Palm Beach,FL – Former President Donald Trump escalated his rhetoric on immigration Thursday,announcing plans for sweeping changes shoudl he return to office,including a pledge to “permanently suspend immigration from all third world countries.” The declaration followed the death of a National Guard soldier allegedly attacked by an Afghan national in Washington D.C., and signals a potential dramatic shift in U.S. immigration policy.
trump’s proposals, outlined in a social media post, go far beyond previous calls for border security. They represent a hardening of his stance on immigration, promising to drastically reduce the number of foreign nationals within the U.S. and prioritize those deemed beneficial to the country. The plans, if enacted, would impact millions of immigrants, asylum seekers, and possibly naturalized citizens, raising legal and humanitarian concerns.
The former president stated his administration would “remove anyone who is not an asset to the United States or who is incapable of loving our country,” and vowed to end federal benefits and subsidies for non-citizens. He also proposed denaturalizing migrants who “harm the national tranquility” and deporting any foreign national considered a “public burden, a security risk, or who is not compatible with Western civilization.”
Trump framed these measures as necessary to “achieve a major reduction in illegal and problematic populations.” he further announced a review of permanent residence permits issued to nationals from 19 countries ”deemed to be of concern,” including Afghanistan, Haiti, Iran, and Venezuela, following Wednesday’s attack.
The announcement arrives as President Joe Biden’s administration recently concluded a course of radiation therapy for prostate cancer, according to his spokesperson.Trump had previously threatened to cancel “millions” of admissions of foreigners granted by the Biden administration.
