Dell has introduced a new mobile workstation, diverging from conventional Nvidia-based systems by integrating a Qualcomm NPU. The Dell Pro Max MB16250 laptop features a Qualcomm processor, marking a shift in the high-performance mobile computing landscape.
This move offers an alternative to the dominance of Nvidia in professional workstations, potentially impacting users seeking specialized processing capabilities and exploring new hardware options. The Dell Pro Max targets professionals needing mobile power, but comes at a premium price point. Currently,the Qualcomm variants are exclusively available through the Dell shop.
The workstation’s configurations start at just under 7,040 euros including taxes for a model with a 60 Hertz display,64 GB of RAM,and 1 TB of SSD storage. A higher-end version with 128 GB of RAM and 4 TB of SSD is priced around 9,500 euros.
