Shanghai Launches Hotel Promotion with Agoda to⁢ Boost International Tourism

Shanghai (ANTARA/PRNewswire) – in an effort⁢ to attract more international visitors, the Shanghai ​Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism has partnered with Agoda, a leading digital travel platform, to launch a‌ new hotel promotion⁤ titled​ “This is Shanghai.”⁢ The initiative aims to enhance ‍travel convenience and stimulate inbound tourism spending.

Starting immediately, travelers from Thailand, Malaysia, ⁢Indonesia, Singapore, ‌the United Arab Emirates,⁢ Qatar, and Saudi arabia are eligible for a⁤ 5% discount on their total hotel booking in ‍Shanghai made through Agoda. The discount⁣ is capped at a maximum of 50 RMB per ⁣reservation.

The promotion encompasses‌ over 3,000 hotels,strategically‍ located near key commercial ​areas such as the⁤ Bund,Xintiandi,and Lujiazui,as well as ‌popular attractions including Shanghai Disney‌ Resort and ​Zhujiajiao. Visitors‌ can explore iconic landmarks like Yuyuan ⁢Garden and nanjing Road Pedestrian Street‌ alongside the Disney experience.

Officials from the Shanghai Municipal Administration ⁤of Culture and Tourism emphasized ‍the partnership’s focus on leveraging digital ⁣platforms to provide high-quality travel experiences for visitors from emerging ‌markets. Agoda’s Head⁤ of Greater China stated the⁤ platform will​ support travelers from‍ the seven target countries with features⁤ like multilingual interfaces and​ localized payment options for a seamless‍ booking process.
