Black ops 7 Leaps Forward with Technical Innovations, mandates TPM 2.0 & Secure Boot
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is demonstrating early technical promise, scoring points with innovations even as it sets a high security bar for players. The game requires Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (TPM 2.0) and secure Boot to function, extending beyond the campaign which also utilizes an “always online” model and incorporates anti-cheat measures.
A review of the campaign, published by PC Games, highlights these technological advancements. Activision has released a tutorial video demonstrating how to enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot within Windows and the UEFI, and players can also reference a guide originally created for Battlefield 6 as the steps are largely identical. Beyond these security requirements, the game’s minimum specifications are relatively modest, though an SSD with approximately 120 GB of storage is mandatory for all configurations.
