The Vintage Marché Founder Lili Aghaei Shares Why It-Girls Love Her Finds – and How to Care for Yours
The Vintage Marché has quickly become a sought-after destination for celebrities seeking rare and coveted luxury items from brands like Gucci, Prada, Chanel, Fendi, and Dior. Founder Lili Aghaei attributes the business’s appeal to the unique and hard-to-find pieces she sources.
Aghaei’s passion for vintage luxury began in childhood. “I’ve always been obsessed with vintage luxury pieces that no one else had,” she explains. “Growing up, my mom and grandmother would take me to antique shops, consignment stores, and estate sales, and I fell in love with the hunt and the thrill.”
Now, Aghaei shares that experience with a wider audience, offering “editorial-worthy treasures that look new, but have the history and uniqueness of vintage.” She describes her vintage aesthetic as “refined and quietly luxurious but always rooted in storytelling,” drawn to pieces with “real craftsmanship that carry a kind of soul and magic you just can’t recreate today.”
Looking ahead to the holiday season, Aghaei notes trending colors include “creamy beiges, rich chocolates, and classic blacks, with pops of deep red, burgundy, and gold” for a “festive, polished feel.” Textures, especially pony hair and exotic skins, are also currently popular.
shoppers can find these details and more in The Fall Edit: Part II, launching wednesday, November 19th at 9 a.m. PST on The Vintage Marché website.
Aghaei emphasizes the importance of proper care for vintage pieces. ”treat each piece like the little work of art it is indeed,” she advises. “These pieces have lived a life before you, so a little extra care helps them stay gorgeous for decades to come.”
Her key recommendation is careful storage: “Keep handbags stuffed to maintain their shape, avoid direct sunlight, and use dust bags or breathable covers. For shoes, rotate wear and avoid exposing delicate materials like satin or pony hair to moisture. When it comes to cleaning, less is more. A soft cloth, gentle leather conditioner, and professional maintenance once or twice a year go a long way.”
Aghaei suggests balancing vintage finds with contemporary pieces. “If yoru vintage piece has texture or character, keep the rest of your outfit streamlined. if your clothing is minimal, its the perfect moment to let a standout vintage accessory shine. When you blend the two, you get this effortless, elevated look that feels personal, timeless, and completely your own.”
