Cairo, egypt – President of Ain shams University, Prof. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, met with the German Ambassador too Egypt to discuss expanding collaboration between Egyptian and German universities. The meeting underscored the strong, long-standing relationship between the two nations and explored opportunities for joint educational and research initiatives, as well as increased scientific and cultural exchange.
Prof. Zain El-Abedeen affirmed Ain Shams University’s commitment to supporting international higher education,leveraging its “solid cultural heritage and distinguished human resources.” He highlighted the university’s position as a leading academic institution in the region.
The German ambassador lauded the “exceptional strategic partnership” between Egypt and Germany, noting its ancient depth across political, economic, cultural, scientific, and educational sectors. He specifically commended ain Shams University’s ”prestigious status and international reputation,” expressing Germany’s desire to broaden cooperation to facilitate the transfer of academic and scientific expertise and strengthen dialog between the two countries.
Discussions also acknowledged the growing importance of German language studies in Egypt, with state support integrating the language into both school and university curricula.
Furthering the exchange, the German Ambassador delivered a lecture at Ain Shams University’s Faculty of Al-Alsun, addressing Egyptian-German relations in scientific cooperation and university education for faculty, teaching assistants, and students.
