The studio was tasked with demonstrating the new capabilities of the Switch 2 while maintaining fidelity to the original experiences, according to a recent tweet from the official Panic Button account.
These updates, delivered as free upgrades to existing Switch owners, included visual improvements, frame rate enhancements, and HDR support for titles like ARMS. Nintendo extended similar launch updates to multiple other first-party Switch games, signaling a commitment to backwards compatibility and enhanced experiences on the new hardware.
Panic Button previously gained recognition during the Switch generation for successfully porting demanding titles such as DOOM Eternal, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Warframe, and Rocket League to the platform.
