The decision comes as the national team prepares for a crucial World Cup qualifying match against Slovakia.
The case originated from a traffic stop where authorities discovered a stun gun and electroshock weapon in Adeyemi’s vehicle. He has been ordered to pay 60 daily fines of €7,500 each, totaling €450,000. Despite the severity of the offense, the DFB has opted not to impose additional disciplinary measures, prioritizing focus on the upcoming match.
According to BILD reporter Yvonne Gabriel, the DFB conducted internal discussions with Adeyemi, Sporting Director Rudi Völler, and national team coach Julian Nagelsmann. however, the association has decided against sanctions to maintain concentration on the critical qualifying game.
Germany faces Slovakia in Leipzig on Monday evening. A draw will secure the team’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
