Spreedly and EBANX Broaden payment Options for Brazilian eCommerce
SAN FRANCISCO – Spreedly, a leading payments orchestration platform, has expanded its capabilities in brazil through an enhanced partnership with EBANX, a global payments platform focused on emerging markets. The integration now provides Spreedly customers with access to nearly 100% of payment methods used in Brazilian eCommerce, including Pix, Boleto Bancário, and a wide range of e-wallets.
The move addresses the rapidly growing digital commerce landscape in Brazil, the largest market in Latin America, and aims to simplify payment complexities for international companies seeking to expand their reach.According to a press release, the expanded partnership builds on an earlier collaboration launched this year to help businesses access local payment options throughout Latin America.
“Through EBANX, Spreedly now covers nearly 100% of the payment methods in Brazilian e-commerce,” the release stated.
The expansion comes as digital payments surge across Latin America. pix, Brazil’s instant payment platform, processed 64 billion transactions in 2024 - a 53% increase year-over-year – surpassing debit and credit card volumes by 80%. Researchers project that by 2030, two-thirds of all eCommerce spending in Latin America will be conducted through digital rails.
Beyond Brazil, mobile wallet adoption is also gaining momentum, with 62% of Latin Americans utilizing them for regular payments, led by Argentina (65%) and Panama (63%). The companies noted in April that international businesses are “increasingly looking to localize their payment offerings” as digital commerce rapidly expands in Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia.
