Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra too Feature Wider Front Camera,Charging Improvements
Seoul,South Korea – Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to receive an upgraded front-facing camera with a wider field of view, alongside faster wired charging capabilities, according to recent reports. While the overall specifications are expected to remain largely consistent with its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, these changes signal incremental improvements for the next flagship device.
The front camera’s field of view will expand to 85 degrees, up from 80 degrees on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and will match the ultrawide lens’s field of view on the S25 Ultra. This adjustment aims to allow users to capture more within a single selfie or video call frame. However, the sensor itself will not receive a megapixel increase or quality upgrade; the change focuses solely on the “equivalent focal length,” as noted by tipster Ice universe.
Beyond the camera, Samsung is expected to increase the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s maximum wired charging speed to 60W.This represents a significant improvement over the Galaxy S25 ultra, which briefly peaked at 45W before settling at 30W or lower during charging cycles.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is anticipated to maintain a 6.9-inch QHD+ display, and will be powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or the Exynos 2600 processor, depending on the region. It will also offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The battery capacity will remain at 5,000mAh.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series, including the Ultra model, at an Unpacked event on February 25, with a market release slated for early March. This launch timeline is slightly later than samsung’s typical release schedule.
