REIMERSHAGEN, GERMANY – Police are continuing an operation involving searches at multiple properties in connection with the murder of eight-year-old Fabian, whose body was discovered near Klein Upahl on October 14th.An arrest warrant has been issued for a woman on suspicion of the boy’s murder, authorities announced this afternoon, but declined to confirm reports linking her to the father’s ex-girlfriend.
The investigation intensified with searches conducted in Reimershagen, including at an agricultural farm, just days after Fabian’s body was found in a pond. Investigators were observed carrying sports shoes in plastic bags from a residential building in Reimershagen, though police have not confirmed if this was the home of a person of interest.
Fabian was last seen leaving his home in Güstrow on the morning of October 10th and is believed to have been killed a few hours later. According to police, he did not attend school that day.
Chief Public Prosecutor Harald Nowack announced the arrest but provided no further details in a statement. A police spokeswoman stated that no information regarding the identity of the arrested individual would be released.
