Millions of youth Worldwide to Participate in Global Day of Youth Evangelism, Equipped with Simple Gospel Message
[CITY, STATE] – November 1, 2024 – On November 8th, an anticipated millions of young people from churches, schools, and communities around the globe will unite for the Global Day of Youth Evangelism (DGYE), a focused effort to share their faith and offer hope to their peers. Spearheaded by the international ministry Dare to Share, founded by Greg Stier, the event aims to equip and mobilize the next generation to confidently proclaim the Gospel.
DGYE will feature video-based resources available in both English and Spanish, offering inspirational messages alongside practical training on effective faith-sharing. The event will unfold through both online and in-person sessions.
“The Day of Global Youth Evangelism is that day in a year when we call on the youth all over the world to gather together in their respective churches, communities-even their homes-as led by youth leaders,” explained pastor erick Totañes, a Dare to Share speaker from the Philippines. “We will equip them and mobilize them to share the gospel. As we say in Dare to Share, it’s every teen, everywhere, giving the gospel to a friend.”
Pastor Totañes emphasizes the current generation’s search for meaning and authenticity, stating,”The best way to invite young people is to show them something bigger than themselves. They are idealistic and searching for truth-and the Church must be authentic and sensitive to their needs.”
A key component of the DGYE training is the “Life in 6 Words” method, designed to facilitate clear and concise Gospel conversations:
* G – God created us to be with Him.
* O – Our sins separate us from God.
* S – Sins cannot be removed by good deeds.
* P – paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again.
* E – Everyone who trusts in Him has eternal life.
* L – Life with Jesus starts now and lasts forever.
“I was once that lost kid going to hell without Christ,” Pastor Totañes shared. “But now I have eternal life-and this is what we wont for every young person around the world.”
Organizers envision DGYE as more than a single-day event, but as a catalyst for a sustained movement to reach a generation with the message of Christ.
Youth groups, churches, and individuals interested in participating can register and find more details at DGYE.org.
