Heidi Klum Unveils Elaborate Medusa Costume at 24th Annual halloween Party
New York City – Heidi Klum debuted a show-stopping Medusa costume Friday night as she arrived at her 24th annual Halloween party, held at the Hard Rock hotel New york’s the Venue on Music Row. The elaborate look featured a headpiece of moving snakes, fangs, a forked tongue, a full snake body suit, and a long tail, complete with a bow and arrow playfully aimed at her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who appeared as a knight turned to stone.
Klum’s Halloween parties have become a signature event of the spooky season, consistently raising the bar for celebrity costumes. This year’s change continues a tradition of increasingly aspiring designs, following previous years’ iterations as E.T., a peacock, Fiona from Shrek, Jessica Rabbit, and a worm. The party is presented by Butterfinger and Huluween on Disney+.
Throughout the month leading up to the event, Klum teased the costume on social media, recently telling Good Morning America, “I’m going to be very ugly – very scary, but very ugly.” She also shared glimpses of the prosthetic application process on Friday. Klum collaborates with Emmy-winning prosthetic makeup designer Mike Marino, recognized this year for his work on The Penguin, to bring her visions to life.
Reflecting on the origins of the party in a video posted to Instagram, Klum recalled starting the tradition approximately 25 years ago after searching for the ultimate Halloween party in New York City. “It all started about 25 years ago when I was searching for the party in New York City and I thought, ‘I’m going to have to take that one over,'” she explained. She admitted the pressure to outdo herself each year is significant, adding, “I have sleepless nights over Halloween, you have no idea. I always hope that it works out.”
