Silent Hill Composer Akira Yamaoka Announces First U.S. Tour
Internationally acclaimed composer Akira Yamaoka, best known for his iconic soundtracks to the Silent Hill series, will embark on his first-ever U.S. tour in February 2026. Yamaoka will present an “immersive live performance experience” bringing his celebrated music to life on stage.
the tour marks a notable moment for fans of Yamaoka’s work, offering a rare prospect to experience his compositions in a cinematic setting. Yamaoka’s music has defined the psychological horror genre for over two decades, and this tour follows a decade after his last live performances in the UK. Tickets go on sale via Live Nation at 10am local time on Friday, November 24th.
Yamaoka joined Konami in 1993 and composed the music for numerous games, notably every Silent Hill title from the original 1999 release through Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (2009). After leaving Konami in 2009, he worked with Grasshopper Manufacture before returning to contribute to Silent Hill 2 Remake and Silent Hill f.
The tour will feature opening sets by singer, composer, and lyricist Raj Ramayya, known for his work on Cowboy bebop and Resident Evil. Yamaoka and Ramayya have also collaborated on a new single, “Encrypted Code reality,” set for release on October 31st.
